2017 CHEVROLET VOLT

Filed Jul 21, 2026

In March 2026, our 2017 Chevrolet Volt (89,300 miles) would not charge nor start, and had to be towed to an authorized Chevrolet dealership in Portland, Oregon. The dealership diagnosed an internal fault in the Battery Energy Control Module (BECM) producing U26XX diagnostic trouble codes, per GM bulletin #18-NA-261, and replaced the BECM under GM Special Coverage N232432680 — GM's field remedy for a known BECM defect affecting 2016–2019 Volts that causes reduced power, no-start, or no-charge…

2018 CHEVROLET EQUINOX

The brake vacuum pump has gone out four times now. While driving the brakes suddenly become hard as a rock to push. Of the four times two of them have been close calls to having a serious collision. This is a known issue with these vehicles so it blows my mind there isn't a recall for this.

2023 CHEVROLET TAHOE

Filed Jul 21, 2026

While traveling out of town on the highway,we had a sudden loss of power. My vehicle wouldn’t accelerate or shift. My check engine light came on and a message displayed that said something about reduced power. After limping to a dealership while in another city, I managed to wait hours for my husband to pick me and my children up. We waited several days for the dealership to tell us it was the valve body that needed replaced. My vehicle was NOT in the original recall for the valve body,…

2023 CHEVROLET TAHOE

Filed Jul 21, 2026

Rear wheels suddenly lock up momentarily during downshift at 30-50 mph (most reproducible 35-40). Transmission in a high gear (8th-10th); any throttle input commanding a downshift can trigger it: as the downshift executes, rear wheels briefly stop, skid with an audible chirp, vehicle jerks violently. Reproducible on demand, multiple times per drive, on video. Highest-speed event ~50 mph, family aboard. NO advance warning: no check engine light, no message, no stored code, no gradual onset.…

The vehicle requires substantially more stopping distance than normal, creating an imminent rear-end collision risk. This defect has been brought to the dealership's attention…

2018 CHEVROLET COLORADO

Filed Jul 21, 2026

I purchased the truck at the end of March 2025. Within a few weeks I was noticing different issues in the transmission. It would occasionally shudder, have jerky or long shifts, would jump gears and lose power. The shudder was random but mostly on the highway, the jerky or long shifts would mostly occur when the egjne was cold and more often in cold weather. The lose of power and jumping gears would occur when towing and when I was in the mountains, once losing power as I was turning onto a…
