Despite engine passing and recall complete the engine failed at 29,861 miles requiring an engine replacement which was provided under warranty. The failed engine was taken by GM.

Driving along the highway the CEL light came on followed by reduced engine power warning. Vehicle abruptly slowed down to 35mph (limp mode).
