Plastic components in the oil pump went out. BMW has made new oil pumps with metal components that are less fragile and do not fail as often. Outside of warranty these repairs can be very costly. I have had to pay out of pocket for these repairs myself. I do not understand why this is not a recall.

This occurred in a brand new WRX with only 799 miles. I was driving on a very unpopulated road, and I had the high temperature warning display on the dash. The temperature gauge was reading high. I pulled over for a short duration to let the car cool down and then proceeded to limp it home since I was less than two miles away. I pulled off the interstate after traveling 70mph with cruise control on. I then pulled into the Walmart parking lot and started to enter a parking spot rolling at 5mph and accidentally brushed the resume cruise control and the truck shot me forward and I came within inches of the car ahead of me because the truck suddenly started accelerating.

While driving on the freeway at approximately 65 mph, my vehicle suddenly lost normal braking function. The brake pedal felt loose, and I had to press it nearly to the floor for the vehicle to slow down. Even then, stopping took significantly longer than normal. Pumping the brake pedal approximately five times temporarily restored normal braking, but the pedal became loose again afterward. The b pillar is coming apart and may cause an incident. They put out recall in May of 2025 but still no remedy. .

Driving on highway lost power to gas pedal truck dash flashed and turned off. Bunch of lights and a gear turned on. I drove to dealership immediately and left the truck there. Was later told I have a 4 serious safety hazard recalls and one that is paused and because of this can’t be fixed and leaves the truck unusable. Leaving me without a vehicle and risk of job loss for the last 3 weeks going on 4 now

Steering and the car is available for inspection. The car's steering failed and it ran into a parked car ay 15MPH on a resiential street. The car has been reviewed by insurance representatives. No warning lights appeared before the steering malfunction.

My 2020 Acura MDX fails to restart after the Auto Idle Stop system shuts off the engine at stops. The vehicle stalls and will not restart in active traffic, including busy intersections and high-speed roads. The fuel tank assembly became pressurized with compressed air due top worn purge control system check valve. This caused the tank to deform and the deformation of the tank led to the fuel pump being pushed out and the back seat of the car was completely unattached and no longer secured. There was a strong presence of gas smell in the car as well. The check engine light came on and the car began to drive poorly.
