On Thursday, October 22, 2026, while driving about 30 mph on the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco, an orange warning triangle appeared on the dash and the vehicle then shut off due to an overheat. Mileage approx. 5,500. This vehicle is covered by Volkswagen Safety Recall 93EX (high-voltage battery cell modules). I believe this event is connected to that recall and request an inspection of the high-voltage battery cell modules. No crash, fire, or injury occurred.

The infotainment system on my 2025 VW Atlas experiences sudden, random total blackouts and complete system reboots while operating the vehicle. This critical software/hardware failure occurs during both wired and wireless Apple CarPlay connections. I was stopped in a friend’s driveway in front of her closed garage door to drop her off after an outing. The front sensor had not been alerting me to how close I was to any objects several times the same day. The vehicle wouldn't start and upon closer inspection some fluid was underneath the vehicle and there was a strong smell of gas. We had the car towed the following morning to a repair shop and were informed there was a fuel leak from behind the intake manifold.
