I have been to the dealership numerous times since buying the vehicle over engine issues. Typically what happens is either the epc, check engine light, or both come on. My 2022 Toas AWD stalls while driving at speed, mimicking the failing fuel pump recall #23V-214 but the VIN is not included on the recall list.

At highway speeds, the speedometer does not show actual moving speed. I’ve noticed it will be ranging 5-10 mph difference. Car will display 65 mph but police radar and gps will say a speed in the 70s. Everything stock.

No back up camera. Entire display screen went black. Software crash? Tried rebooting by holding down buttons, locking and walking away. Nothing still black. No words on the screen. Per VW TSB 15-23-01, Volkswagen explicitly admits that the original engine production head gasket design is defective. A leaking head gasket can cause sudden engine overheating, power loss, or catastrophic engine failure while driving. This seems like a major , dangerous issue that should be covered under a recall

The contact owns a 2024 Volkswagen Taos. The contact stated that while reversing, the rearview camera was intermittently inoperable. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by a dealer or an independent mechanic. The contact associated the failure with NHTSA Campaign Number: 26V473000 (BACK OVER PREVENTION); however, the VIN was not included in the recall. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was approximately 42,000.
