2018 HYUNDAI TUCSON

Filed Sep 3, 2026

I took my Tucson to my local Hyundai dealership on Friday, August 28, 2026. It was there for a standard oil change and tire rotation. When I scheduled the appointment online the system also said there was a recall. I always stay on top of that so I let them take care of that as well. The recall didn’t seem like anything major, it was something to do with emissions. Ok, when I left the dealership that day the engine was warm so there was no noticeable difference. I didn’t use my vehicle at…

2022 HYUNDAI TUCSON

Filed Sep 3, 2026

I had just started accelerating from a stop light at 715 am on a clear morning. I was not close to any other cars and there was no traffic entering. Without warning my collision warning came on and brought the car to a sudden stop. This is damgerous and I am lucky I was not rear ended

2020 HYUNDAI SONATA

Filed Sep 3, 2026

I am submitting a safety complaint regarding a recurring, unresolved electrical defect in my 2020 Hyundai Sonata SEL. The vehicle fails to recognize when the ignition is switched off, leaving core vehicle systems active and causing severe parasitic battery drain that leaves the car immobilized. Description of the Problem: False On Status: After parking, turning off the engine, and exiting the vehicle, the car continues to register as though the ignition is still active/on (accessories,…

2017 HYUNDAI SANTA FE

Filed Sep 3, 2026

On May 26.2026, Southern States Hyundai performed mandated Service Campaign 9C2 (Theta II Emissions Improvement). The software immediately caused drivability degradation and a catalytic converter failure, mirroring the defects Hyundai acknowledged to the NHTSA on May 18, 2026. Corporate customer care is using an unrelated oil consumption testing protocol to deflect liability and charge me $1,400 for the testing and/or $4002 for the catalytic converter out of pocket for damage caused by their…

2020 HYUNDAI SONATA

The A/C evaporator core and the core seal needs replacing on 2020 Hyundai Sonata. Car is 6 years old. I already have a confirmed diagnosis with a PPM refrigerant leak tester at the condensate drain line The diagnosis is 100% confirmed. The evaporator is leaking heavily—we pulled 274 PPM at the drain tube and 177 PPM inside the cabin behind the glove box so refrigerent has been leaking out of the vents. My wife and I were getting headaches for no reason. Our AC has failed and this problem was…

2027 HYUNDAI PALISADE

Filed Sep 3, 2026

Stop vehicle and check power supply warning lights accompanied and panic alarm goes off on new 2027 palisade hybrid calligraphy with 72 miles. The passenger rear brake grabs much more than the others which you can barely feel. Johnson Hyundia of Apex,NC, where we purchased the vehicle tell us not to bother bringing it to them because unless it has a fault code or constant message, they can't do anything. Hyundia corporate gave me a case number but acted like they never heard of it happening…

2011 HYUNDAI SONATA

Filed Sep 3, 2026

I was driving down the road going the speed limit and all of a sudden it felt like I hit a brick wall my car staked out and I was stuck in the middle of the road for about 20 minutes and finally I got it to start and drove home it did it again 2 months later

2024 HYUNDAI KONA

Filed Sep 3, 2026

This mainly concerns the forward collision detection sensor, if that’s even what it’s actually called. My vehicle is available for testing and inspection. I was driving on an interstate, with my adaptive cruise control set to 75 mph. I was in the left of 3 lanes when got to a curve that went to the right. As I came to the beginning of the curve, all of a sudden my dash is warning me of a forward collision and the car started braking hard on its own. There is a metal guardrail that separates…
