Power steering failure while at speed on the highway. This caused safety systems to be disabled and the car was very hard to control. If this happened while cornering, a deadly crash could happen. the problem has not been confirmed or reproduced. it has not been inspected. The steering system failed while driving down the highway on two different ocassions. I got a warning message saying the driver att warning sys had malfunctioned (it wasn't on a the time) then after that message disappeared, I had a red light in the steering column symbol in the dash. The issue involved the electronic power steering (EPS) system on my 2022 Hyundai Veloster N (approx. 70,000 miles). While driving, the EPS stopped providing steering assist and a fault warning appeared on the dash. After checking the engine bay fuse box, I found that the PDM 7.5A micro blade fuse (which powers the EPS circuit) appeared heat-discolored/burned. The electric power steering ceases to work, making it near impossible to steer or control the vehicle also, the power steering light and various other lights light up on the dash this is the intermittent reoccurring problem. The only way to remedy it at the time is to stop somewhere. Shut the vehicle off for a few minutes and then restart it. I'll put in today's date for the date that you're asking for but it happens all the time.
