Power steering failure while at speed on the highway. This caused safety systems to be disabled and the car was very hard to control. If this happened while cornering, a deadly crash could happen. the problem has not been confirmed or reproduced. it has not been inspected. No issues prior to the failure. only appeared after SP failed

I was driving when my power steering suddenly failed while the vehicle was in motion. I pulled into a plaza, turned off the vehicle, and after restarting it the power steering appeared to function normally again. The component that malfunctioned appears to be the power steering system, and this component along with the vehicle itself is available for inspection upon request. When the failure occurred, steering the vehicle became significantly more difficult, which created a safety risk for…

The steering system failed while driving down the highway on two different ocassions. I got a warning message saying the driver att warning sys had malfunctioned (it wasn't on a the time) then after that message disappeared, I had a red light in the steering column symbol in the dash. The steering lost all power and it was really hard to drive the car as it felt like a car with no power steering at all but worse. If in a turn, it would want to stay in a turn and it would fight you to get it…

Went to back out of a parking space got a “check lane keep assist” warning on dash as well as red steering light. Steering was totally locked up luckily I was parked but if I was driving It could’ve caused a serious issue. I’ve seen multiple other people with this vehicle have had this problem as well and still no recall.

The ownership of my 2022 Hyundai Veloster N has been defined by an unresolved safety recall that has left the vehicle undriveable and in the dealer's possession for a month. My attempts to address the issue began in September 2024, when I brought the car in for the High-Pressure Fuel Pump recall (NHTSA 24V528). The dealer performed a software update but declined to replace the pump. The situation escalated on January 2, 2026, when the vehicle suffered a severe loss of power. The dealer then…

The issue involved the electronic power steering (EPS) system on my 2022 Hyundai Veloster N (approx. 70,000 miles). While driving, the EPS stopped providing steering assist and a fault warning appeared on the dash. After checking the engine bay fuse box, I found that the PDM 7.5A micro blade fuse (which powers the EPS circuit) appeared heat-discolored/burned. I replaced it with an identical 7.5A micro blade fuse, and the system later returned to normal operation. The original fuse that…

The electric power steering ceases to work, making it near impossible to steer or control the vehicle also, the power steering light and various other lights light up on the dash this is the intermittent reoccurring problem. The only way to remedy it at the time is to stop somewhere. Shut the vehicle off for a few minutes and then restart it. I'll put in today's date for the date that you're asking for but it happens all the time.
