2023 FORD F-150
Filed Sep 3, 2026
I am reporting a safety-related transmission problem I experienced with my 2023 Ford F-150 equipped with the 10R80 automatic transmission. While driving normally, the transmission suddenly lost the selected gear and rims spiked and then it violently slammed into gear. It feels like it thru my truck into a limp mode. It lost 5th would not catch it going up and down thru the gears. It happened randomly. This occurred while while accelerating to merge on the highway. It also kept going it in stop…

2021 FORD F-150
Filed Sep 3, 2026
I am reporting a serious safety-related transmission issue involving my 2021 Ford F-150 equipped with the 10R80 automatic transmission. On multiple occasions during normal driving, the transmission has behaved unpredictably and, at times, dangerously. The transmission has suddenly lost the selected gear, slipped or failed to engage, shifted violently, experienced significant RPM flares, unexpectedly downshifted, and harshly clunked into first and second gear while coming to a stop. These…
2020 FORD F-150
Filed Sep 3, 2026
We purchased a used 2020 F150 in late summer 2024. We brought it in for issues in November 2024, but the Ford dealership found no repairs were needed. We returned in March 2025 when the CDF drum failed requiring a transmission rebuild, a known issue with Technical Service Bulletin but not a recall. The engine continued consuming oil after this despite Ford completing all applicable service bulletins and advising there was nothing further to do. We took the vehicle in for service in May, 2026…
2008 FORD F-150
Filed Sep 3, 2026
The driver side air bag went off while reversing out of my home. The air bag went off while my arm was across the steering wheel. Powder went in my eyes from it and my arm was bruised and burned from the impact. It hurt so bad that my I had someone pick me up from home and drive me to the hospital. I also had my ear drums ringing for a good while. No police has inspected it as it happened at my home and there were no warning lights for it on. I didn’t hit anything either. I was simply reversing…
2018 FORD FOCUS
Filed Sep 3, 2026
There was supposedly a recall of 2012-2018 Ford focuses such as mine, which is a 2018, but somehow my car is not included in this recall even though it seems to be affected by the same problem. I believe it to have a faulty purge valve (forgive me if I am not precise in my terminology) as it stalls after I get gas and try to start it up. I have to rev the engine to get it to stay on. I cannot stop after I get it started because it roughly idles and seems like it will shut back off if I do,…
2021 FORD BRONCO SPORT
Filed Sep 3, 2026
The Oil pump wet belt, made of rubber, experienced the same premature tooth degradation as under the 1.0L EcoBoost engines that were recalled. Rubber components blocked my oil pump resulting in a failure to pump oil while I was driving. This required me to make an emergency stop on an interstate. I have reported this to Ford and they could care less about the safety concern.
2015 FORD F-150
Filed Sep 3, 2026
I was driving on a 2 lane highway at approximately 50 mph and my truck started blowing white smoke and suddenly decelerated to 5 mph and a wrench appeared on my dashboard. I luckily was able to limp the vehicle to a parking lot. I then called AAA for a tow to my Certified Mechanic. He informed me the next day that the transmission line to the cooler failed. He replaced the cooler lines ($250). I definitely feel this problem should have a safety recall issued. If my wife and I were on a freeway…
2021 FORD F-350 SD
Filed Sep 3, 2026
The high pressure fuel pump failed sending metal shavings through out the entire fuel system. I had no heads up and the failure left me stranded on top of a bridge. I called 911 twice and finally the cops showed up and wrecker towed me off the bridge. Ford is aware of this known issue with this make and model, and even put a recall partial recall / quick fix to increase the flow around the pump to keep it cooler. I had the quick fix recall completed but it did not prevent the failure and me…
2015 FORD ESCAPE
Filed Sep 3, 2026
The contact owns a 2015 Ford Escape. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V695000 (Back Over Prevention); however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The contact stated that while driving reversing, the rearview camera was inoperable and the message Back Up Camera Inoperative was displayed. The dealer was made aware of the failure but confirmed…
