2019 FORD TRANSIT

Filed Oct 21, 2026

The contact owns a 2019 Ford Transit. While the contact’s son was driving, the vehicle started to wobble. The driver checked the sideview mirror and became aware that the rear passenger’s side wheel was tilted outward. The driver pulled over to the side of the road and became aware that the five lug nuts had detached from the rear passenger’s side wheel. The vehicle was towed to the dealer who diagnosed that the lug nuts had detached from the axle assembly. The contact was informed that the…

I purchased a new [XXX] on XXX from La Mesa Rec Van in [XXX]. The RV is a built on a 2023 Ford Transit Trail 350 chassis, but the vehicle is registered as 2025 as [XXX] completed the conversion to a Class B motorhome in XXX. Upon purchase, it was not disclosed to me by Ford or La Mesa Rec Van in [XXX] that the vehicle was speed limited to 81 mpg. I went to pass a car on a two lane highway when a passing lane opened up. The vehicle I was passing started to accelerate (not sure if it was…

2022 FORD TRANSIT

rear bumper stepper can't be connect on properly because the bracket that holds the rear bumper stepper is damaged. The bracket is wielded on and cant be removed by ordinary means and because the rear bumper stepper cant be secured it is at risk of falling off while driving and causing damage. It's a safety hazard for people getting in and out through the rear of the vehicle since it's a cargo van and the stepper not being secure can cause slip and fall.

We are writing to formally escalate catastrophic and highly dangerous safety failure issues involving a Braun Millenium Lift, hydraulic oil explosion, failure of the emergency back up pump, severe structural defects, a sagging floor near wheelchair tie downs and the rear passenger seat and a four year pattern of negligence from the dealer that installed Braun Lift. We had the van into dealer about this issue many times. They adjusted something and would say every things ok. In August 2026 my…

2018 FORD TRANSIT

The rearview camera is not working. On a vehicle of this size, a functioning rearview camera is especially important for helping to prevent backing incidents. The issue occurs every time the vehicle is driven, and the display shows, “Rear View Camera not available.” Dealers have advised that they will not inspect the vehicle unless we pay a diagnostic fee. In June 2026, we purchased a used 2018 Ford Transit 150 van with 68,000 miles from a Ford dealership. Two days after the purchase, we…

2016 FORD TRANSIT

Filed Oct 4, 2026

Upon auto inspection, I was informed that the subframe of the van was rotted and needed to be addressed. As the vehicle was not put into service until 2017, the van had less than 7 years on it at the time yet this bolt in member which supports the front lower control arms as well as the steering rack was severly compromised. Due to financial constraints, the member wasn't replaced until recently at which point there were multiple locations that the decay was so severe that one could fit both…

Ford states they are unable to repair this recall #26V061 because the van is lifted, which was a marketing strategy done by Ford on the assembly line. They want the customer to shop dealers and see if anyone can do it. Ford customer service referred problem back to customer
