Ford F-350 Super Duty

The high pressure fuel pump failed sending metal shavings through out the entire fuel system. I had no heads up and the failure left me stranded on top of a bridge. I called 911 twice and finally the cops showed up and wrecker towed me off the bridge. Ford is aware of this known issue with this make and model, and even put a recall partial recall / quick fix to increase the flow around the pump to keep it cooler. The contact stated that after parking the vehicle in the driveway of their residence, the DPF regeneration process activated and completed, and the vehicle was turned off. The contact exited the vehicle. Approximately 15 minutes later, the contact discovered flames coming from under the hood. The fire department responded and extinguished the fire. Wife was driving the truck(I was the passenger) while towing our dump trailer. After approx 100 miles into this trip the dash showed a Reduced Engine Power Warning, and then shuddered. VEHICLE EXTENDED CRANKING WITHOUT STARTING WHILE THE VEHICLE IS PARKED, AND ONCE STARTED IT WAS LOSS OF MOTIVE POWER WHILE DRIVING AND ALMOST WAS IN ACCIDENT BECAUSE OF THIS. SHEEHY FORD SEE ITS A RECALL AND SEE ITS EXACTLY WHAT THE RECALL IS STATING BUT REFUSING TO FIX IT AND WANT TO CHARGE ALMOST 10K TO DO SO.

When the truck idles it randomly shuts off completely and shows a sign on dash of 'vehicle may not start/restart please service' then it will disappear. It never shows any codes when hooked to machine in repair shop. This is a huge safety concern while driving and hauling trailers with equipment since all power is lost when it happens. The contact stated that while driving 20 MPH, the message Reduced Power was displayed, and the check engine warning light was illuminated. The vehicle stalled and failed to restart. The vehicle was towed to a dealer and was diagnosed with failures of the CP4 fuel pump, cycloid filters, and contamination of the entire fuel system. The vehicle was not yet repaired.…

Ford Motor Company deployed an over-the-air software update to my 2018 Ford F350 that corrupted the Body Control Module. The software error permanently locked the vehicle into a speed-restricted 'MyKey' safety mode, leaving me with an altered vehicle and no admin access to bypass it. Ford Corporate is refusing to fix the corrupted software deployment. I do not and never have had a second key and they are now saying I must purchase this and pay for my truck to be reset.

The backup camera on the tailgate fails about 50% of the time when shifting into reverse. The screen is black. When it fails, I can sometimes get it to work by opening, then slamming the tailgate. I suspect that there is an intermittent open circuit in the camera system. This presents a dangerous situation when trying to back this very large dual rear wheel vehicle. This is not related to the current recall for another issue with the camera when backing into a darkened area.
