The contact rented a 2016 U-Haul E450. The contact stated that while in the parking lot and placing the vehicle in drive, the contact tapped on the accelerator pedal, then when the brakes were applied and the vehicle suddenly accelerated. The contact removed her foot from the brake, and it continued to accelerate and crashed into a parked U-Haul truck. There were no reported injuries, fire, airbag deployment, or police report filed. Lifters in engine is going out. Ford has made a TSBs for repair because lifters and camshaft was made by a third party and they are defect. Here is Technical Service Bulletin (TSB 25-2200). Vehicle is available for inspection. It was put at risk because vehicle could loose power at any time and potential crash into another car. The problem has been reproduced in 4 different Ford vehicles. Has not been inspected by manufacturer or others. No warning lights were present.

Engine camshaft and lifters failed. Truck is at a Ford dealer. Engine could fail in the middle of the road, causing an accident. This is our eighth vehicle with the same issue taken to a ford dealer in the past year. A little knocking noise started that quickly turned into a loud knocking/rattling noise. No lights came on the truck.

We rented a Class C RV based on a Ford E-Series chassis from El Monte RV. During our trip, we experienced two dangerous tire tread separations. The first incident occurred on the third day of our trip on the highway. The right rear tire's tread detached while driving at moderate speed (~55–60 mph), causing the tire to explode. The contact owns a 2023 Ford E-450. The contact discovered shortly after the purchase of the vehicle, that during the manufacturing, the vehicle was improperly assembled and was missing the fasteners, the housing to the frame, and the bottom of the vehicle was missing several bolts. The dealer was contacted; however, the vehicle remained at the residence. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 22,400.

The component that failed was the driveline on our RV. Specifically, the driveline was installed at an incorrect angle, which caused excessive vibrations and loud noises while driving at highway speeds. The improper driveline angle posed a serious safety risk to my family and others on the road. The vibrations were severe enough to affect vehicle handling and stability, especially at higher speeds.
