Plastic components in the oil pump went out. BMW has made new oil pumps with metal components that are less fragile and do not fail as often. Outside of warranty these repairs can be very costly. I have had to pay out of pocket for these repairs myself. I do not understand why this is not a recall.

I'm reporting a safety issue with BMW vehicles equipped with the B58TU engine, primarily 2019-2021 models. These vehicles have an oil pump with an internal plastic component that regulates oil pressure, and this part is fracturing in the field, causing sudden loss of oil pressure. The failure typically occurs during cold starts in low temperatures. When it fails, oil pressure becomes erratic or is lost entirely, often with little to no warning before engine damage or vehicle disablement.…

Front differential failed at ~79,000 miles. Regular service intervals and BMW specific oil were followed throughout the life of the vehicle. The pinion bearing began to wear prematurely which resulted in gear damage on a ring/pinion from metallic fragment introduction into the compartment.

In March of 2026 I decided to make use of the vehicles lane keeping assistant and set the lane keeping assistant to maximum safety settings. Within 2 months I noticed the car began to slip l/shudder at the front end while taking highway exit ramps. After this happened a few times I pulled over and checked the front tires because I thought maybe I drove through asphalt oil or something that made the tires slick. An alert came on the screen suddenly when I tried to start the vehicle on oct 5 2026 saying there was a drivetrain malfunction it was unable to start and that there was possible high voltage and it needed service immediately. It required tow to bmw service center and as of Oct 6 2026 they say it requires a software update that does not yet exist.

The rear cross traffic alert is not detecting vehicles, people or bicycles. I've had six close calls since purchasing the vehicle new last December. I took it to the Sarasota BMW dealer last week and was told it's functioning as it's supposed to. While it was being assessed, I met with a BMW Genius (tech support). The contact owns a 2017 BMW 330E. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 26V441000 (Electrical System); however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The dealer was contacted several times and informed the contact that the parts were on backorder. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair.

The A/C evaporator core in my 2019 BMW X5 xDrive50i failed at approximately 65000 miles. On 8/20/2026, I noticed warm air from the passenger climate zone, a chemical odor/oily residue at the vents, and complete loss of A/C. A leak test at Nalley BMW on 10/20/2026 identified the evaporator core as the source of the refrigerant leak. The seat belt sensor will continuous goes off even though the seat belts are engaged/fastened. I have reported this issue to the dealership multiple times with no resolution.
