High-pressure fuel pump went out leaving wife stranded while struggling to get to the side of road. Bmw knows about the fuel pressure failure never contacted us about it. They have a 25 year safety recall the car is a 2014 but it was built in 2013 but sold as a 2014 so they’re wiggling out of the recall fix I don’t even have 100,000 miles on the car

Diesel fuel pump failed while driving on the road. I also own a 2014 328d BMW which was recalled earlier where the diesel fuel pump was replaced by the dealership. The fuel system has failed. The car shut off in the Baltimore harbor tunnel twice completely stopping traffic and creating a very hazard situation. One of those two times the semi truck behind me had to slam its brakes. When the car shuts off you must come to a complete stop and turn the car completely off. I am reporting an emissions-related malfunction that occurred a very short time after BMW performed the EGR cooler recall and updated the DDE software on my vehicle.
