BMW 430i

This is the third Check Engine, Drive train malfunction, Power Supply error messages popped up. Dealership replaced the battery at the first visit, replaced the starter at the second visit. Error messages appeared one week after the second visit to the dealership.

The car has experienced numerous coolant leaks according to the dealer and independent authorized service shops including: - turbo coolant lines - oil filter housing - auxiliary radiator - coolant pump - heat management module - upper radiator hose - expansion tank hose - various other coolant hoses All of this work has been done starting at 46,000 miles and continuing through the current mileage of 88,000 miles. Recall issued January 2026. Letter mailed to me (owner) re: recall in March 2026. Now May 18, 2026 and still no notification as to when this recall will be remedied. Risk is stated as follows: vehicle may catch on fire while operating or also while parked when engine is not running. So instructed to park vehicle outside garage. Recall No 26V-056 Engine Starter BMW 430i year 2022. Purchased at Fields BMW Daytona.

1 week after the BMW dealer replaced the battery under the warranty (after the car was towed due to the power loss from drive train malfunction) Engine Check, Drive train malfunction, and Oil level measurement inactive signals popped up again.

The contact owns a 2023 BMW 430i. The contact received notice of NHTSA Campaign Number: 26V056000 (Electrical System). The contact stated that that on several occasions when starting the vehicle there was a hesitation while starting the vehicle. The contact added that the hesitation while starting the vehicle using the key fob was more prevalent. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 39,000.

The recall was issued more than 8 months ago but the remedy is still not yet available, which is very concerning as the problem may cause the event of fire even when the vehicle is parked. I purchased my 2023 BMW 430i, coupe, X-Drive brand new on 04/14/2023 from BMW, Wesley Chapel Florida. On 05/14/2025, I observed my driver's side front seat belt to be extremely frayed and in an unsafe condition (see photo 05142025) and reported it to BMW Wesley Chapel immediately. After the Engine Check and Drivetrain Malfunction signs pop up, and then the vehicle stopped all of sudden on the highway.

Plastic oil filter housing part cracked and leaked all my anti freeze out on I 95. This incident caused me to have my car towed 3 times to various dealer and shops for repair. Total cost of this repair was approximately 2K with parts and labor + 300. for towing. No warning from BMW - this could have caused myself and others great harm out there on 95 and if I had to drive farther to find a safe place to pull over it would have destroyed my engine.
