The contact owns a 2021 BMW 750i. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the engine independently shut off. The engine overheating warning light illuminated, and the message Engine Cooldown was displayed. After several attempts, the vehicle restarted. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was diagnosed with a failed engine starter that needed replacement. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact referenced an unknown recall; however, the VIN was not associated…

1. What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? The suspected failed component is the front differential carrier bearing on my 2021 BMW 750i xDrive. [XXX] BMW of Westmont, Illinois diagnosed carrier bearing damage and oil leaks and recommended replacement of the front differential. The vehicle has approximately 53,791 miles. The failed differential/carrier-bearing assembly is currently available for inspection, subject to the vehicle…

I purchased a vehicle from Ed morse Cadillac on 12/31/2025. I find out in April that the vehicle was sold with undercarriage damages listed in Carfax. The dealership, never disclosed anything, did not show me the reports, and i did not sign anything to accept the damages. They do not want to take responsibility. The vehicle might be dangerous to drive and is really demeaning in value because of this.

Due to the terrible turbo v design my n63 engine , stalls, throws misfire codes, tranny malfunctioning codes , lean fuel codes , it’s truly dangerous to drive . The vehicle sits at 101250 miles that’s driven less than 10k miles per year since it was produced and I was totally mislead , unfairly charged for something that was deemed to be great & life changing but it has been the total opposite! I truly want BMW of America to repair because this doesn’t happen if they did not design the vehicle…

Car caught fire while parked. No signal on car indicating any problem. Car caught fire in front of my child's community center exposing children to smoke inhalation. I had to call the fire department to put out the fire. My car year and model was recalled for this but not my VIN. This has never happened to any of my cars in my life I'm just thinking how bad it could of been if I was one the highway.

Took my 2020 BMW 7 Series into BMW San Diego because there was fluid leaking. Upon diagnosis at the dealership, I was notified I needed to replace the front differential as it was coming apart. The leaking fluid was identified as differential fluid. The vehicle has 54,308 miles on it. My research indicates front differentials should not need replacement until nearly 150,000 miles. A broken front differential is considered to be very bad and makes a car unsafe to drive as it causes severe…

On [XXX], while driving on a busy boulevard in Wilmington, Delaware, my 2020 BMW 750i suddenly lost all power (engine and electrical) without any warning. The vehicle completely shut down in traffic, creating an extremely dangerous situation. There were no warning lights or messages before the failure. I called BMW Roadside Assistance for help but was informed that because my warranty had just expired, they canceled the tow truck that was already en route and turned it away. This left me…

2017 BMW 750I

Service Bulletin SI B11 09 17 Same issue with my car, 2017 BMW 750i xDrive. Drivetrain malfunction issues identical to SB noted. My car has a manufactured date 07/2016, one month after SB dates covered, yet same part numbers are used in this month as well. Not fair that other vehicle owners with same part numbers get this covered, as I have to pay over $3k for repair, to then wait IF a SB gets releases, then have to chase BMW file a RP claim. Wastegate issues across all G11 models!

The contact owns a 2020 BMW 750I. The contact stated that while driving in a parking lot at slow speeds, the check engine warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer where it was diagnosed that the expansion tank had cracked and leaked on the fuel rail and the injector had failed. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was contacted and covered the injector repair and referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline to report the failure. The failure mileage was…
