2017 CHRYSLER PACIFICA

Filed Jul 9, 2026

The steering sticks when at highway speeds on curves. It can be made available for inspection upon request. Our safety is at risk when it sticks because over correction can make us flip the vehicle or collide with other drivers. This is a know issue with this car but I must empathize that it needs to a recall that would allow us to have this fixed for the safety of not only the drivers but for other people on the roads. The vehicle has been expected recently but the details of what they found…

The electric power steering (EPS) is the affected system. While driving around curves in the road, the steering wheel intermittently sticks. This puts the safety of those in the vehicle as well as others on the roadway at risk. The problem has been reproduced and confirmed by a dealer to be an electric steering rack failure. There have not been any warning lamps, messages, or other symptoms.

2019 CHRYSLER PACIFICA

Filed Jul 9, 2026

The steering sticks on either right or left hand curves (more left than right) under normal driving circumstances on paved roads. This causes a jerk when returning the wheel to center, after or as the vehicle is coming out of the curve. Definitely concerning. Noticed shortly after we purchased the van with 100,000 miles on the odometer.

Fire

The vehicle caught fire earlier morning of 7/9/2026. It was sitting in front of house unoccupied. The alarm went off twice which pressing the key fob shut it off until the third time when the alarm would continue until it died down. I went to my door to check and noticed the car was on fire.

The contact owns a 2016 Chrysler 200. The contact stated that whenever the front passenger's seat was occupied, the Service Airbag warning light illuminated. The contact stated that the failure occurred when the occupants placed their feet near the front passenger footwell area, where the airbag module and wiring harness were located. The contact routinely disconnected and reconnected the airbag wiring harness to reset and clear the warning light from the instrument panel; however, the failure…

Over a year ago I noticed several paint bubbles along the front edge of the hood above the grille. This is widely reported issue with the 2017–2020 Chrysler Pacifica. I brought the vehicle to a dealer in Cleveland, Ohio for an estimate in February 2025 and requested that a warranty/goodwill claim be submitted to Stellantis/Chrysler. Since then, I've followed up several times by phone but haven't received any updates. Unfortunately, the paint issue has continued to worsen. Could you please let…

2017 CHRYSLER PACIFICA

Filed Jul 8, 2026

The contact owns a 2017 Chrysler Pacifica. The contact stated that while driving at 60 MPH, the steering wheel would stick when turned approximately to the one o'clock position, requiring to be jerked to operate as intended. The contact stated that when the failure occurred, the auto start-stop warning light illuminated, and the check engine warning light would intermittently flash on and off. The dealer and the manufacturer were not made aware of the failure. No further information was…

Crash

We were at a complete stop waiting for traffic to go, I had my foot on the brake pedal and the car lunge/revved up and hit the car in front of me. This is the 3rd time this has happened. The first time we were advised it was probably the front-end sensor that were probably covered with ice. We were advised they are very sensitive. The 2nd time it was winter still, so we took the car through the car wash to make sure no ice was built up. We did not get in an accident because traffic started…

The back up camera does not turn on immediately. Sometimes it takes up to 3 minutes for it to turn on, after shifting into reverse. I understand this is a violation of the safety requirement for a back up camera. There is not an open recall for this particular issue on this VIN. The dealer service department confirmed the issue but has not offered a solution. It has not been inspected by the police or insurance representatives. There are no warnings or messages related to the issue. It first…
