2018 GMC ACADIA

Filed Jul 9, 2026

While driving the temperature gauge drops from normal to cold , the dash displays steering assist reduced and the fan is very loud . My mechanic said the thermostat and or sensor needs to be replaced . When he resets with the reader its good for about a week and temperature gauge is normal. After seven days it repeats I only have 40,000 miles on the vehicle and its a 1,400 dollar job. I believe this should be a recall because i have seen a lot of the same complaints in this forum and what…

Oct 2025 I took my truck into my local GMC dealer for 6.2 recall. I was told it passed the testing. 6/12/26 driving about 70mph on highway and lost all acceleration. Warning stating engine oil hot,/ pull over and idle engine. Already using 0w40 oil for approx 8momnths. Oil changed approx 3 wks before this incident. I was able to pull to the shoulder w/in 1/4 mile. While the truck was still moving about 3 mph it went into park and shut off. The vehicle would not turn back on. Oil level…

Steering assist code pops up and then the temperature gauge goes down and the air stops working and the screen in the cars starts going all crazy. Shift to park code keeps coming up and keeps all electronics on in car

transmission shuddering, harsh or delayed shifting, and erratic gear changes. The truck jerks really bad during each shift of the ten speeds. A vibration or shudder typically occurring at speeds between 25-65 mph under light throttle. Also makes a bad noise every times it’s shifting. I have no lights on the dash and the gmc app tells me everything is fine when clearly it’s not . I see there’s a recall for my year and make but for some reason my vin doesn’t fall in the category

I purchased vehicle used 2 years ago last year. I noticed the air conditioner was not cooling. I summed it up too, and extremely hot summer. This summer I did the same thing.I took it in immediately. Catastrophic, I think I bought it like this. It fell apart, the air conditioning compressor fell apart. There is like shrapnel through everything, and they have to go through and clean everything out. It's gonna cost me over two grand. But it only be in 40000 miles on it. I understand it's a twenty…

1 year after having the grill deflector piece being replaced on my 2022 GMC Sierra 1500 AT4X, under the recall. The new grill deflector became detached and flew off my vehicle. Clearly, the recall fix by GMC did not work.

2016 GMC SIERRA 1500

Filed Jul 8, 2026

Catastrophic engine failure while traveling 40 mph. Dealership diagnosed as cylinder walls being scorched and rods blown through. No warning signs existed - just had a loud thud before the check engine light started flashing and grinding sound started coming from engine.

2020 GMC ACADIA

Filed Jul 8, 2026

Steering Assist Is Reduced – Drive With Care warning appeared while the vehicle is in motion. This may require increased steering effort and could affect a driver's ability to respond to changing traffic conditions. Any steering-related warning that appears unexpectedly while driving deserves serious attention. P0128 code was shown. The cause was a faulty thermostat housing assembly and needed to be repaired. This is an extremely common issue in this vehicle across many years and needs to be…
