2026 VOLVO EX90
Filed Jul 21, 2026
Overall, we've been very happy with the EX90, but it's clear the vehicle is in desperate need of a comprehensive software update from Volvo. The issues we're experiencing don't appear to be hardware failures so much as recurring software-related problems. We've received intermittent propulsion system warnings, headlight system warnings, delayed accelerator response at times, and general electrical system sluggishness. The infotainment system can be slow to respond, and various vehicle…

Mild hybrid vehicle that was purchased 4/20/2026. Volvo service states incident on 06/10/2026 was caused by vehicle running overnight in enclosed garage. Volvo also states that cause was due to item inserted into drivers seatbelt buckle. No warnings posted regarding this would cause the vehicle to turn on once car was parked and driver door shut and run continuously throughout the night in an enclosed garage. Volvo claims every time the driver door is opened, it shuts the engine off. This is…

2016 VOLVO XC90
Filed Jul 17, 2026
Piston rings inside the engine failed due to a known oil consumption issue with this model vehicle. The engine failed while the car was driving 85 mph and consequently slowed down to 15mph on the highway, leaving the owner of the car stranded alone on the highway. Volvo has a known fix for this issue and there was a class action lawsuit for it, but since it was settled, there was no recall. This is, in fact, a dangerous issue that is preventable. Additionally, the sunroof drains also leak.…

Engine blew up while my daughter was driving due to excessive oil consumption. Issue known by Volvo but we bought the car in 2023 and the 8year warranty recall was just about to expire and we knew nothing about it. Very dangerous
2022 VOLVO XC90
Filed Jul 17, 2026
This is my 2nd Volvo xc90. Both models have turbo issues that is costly repairs. Volvo dealership also stated that turbo repairs usually are an issue in Volvo. My first Volvo was 2016 which had a turbo issue. Now my 2022 is now in shop due to turbo and oil spills on inside. There should be a recall.

2022 VOLVO C40BEV
Filed Jul 14, 2026
Multiple recurring electronic, keyless entry, and drivability defects on my 2022 Volvo C40 Recharge, VIN [XXX]. The vehicle was purchased used through Vroom and financed by UACC. Serious problems existed prior to the factory warranty expiration in April 2026. Volvo San Francisco was made aware of the issues on multiple occasions but claimed they “could not replicate” the problems, apparently to avoid liability for what is clearly a lemon vehicle. A software update was performed but did not…

2007 VOLVO XC70
Filed Jul 14, 2026
Description of Safety Problem:This complaint is a formal report of an open safety recall remedy failure under NHTSA Campaign 21V800 (Volvo Recall R10136). On 7/8/2026, an authorized manufacturer dealership (Volvo Cars Palo Alto) replaced the driver's airbag module on my 2007 Volvo XC70. Prior to this mandatory safety service, the vehicle's Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) network functioned flawlessly with no dashboard warning lights. Shortly after picking up the vehicle, the SRS Service…
