Chevrolet Blazer EV

This is now the second report from this vehicle with similar issues. This incident happened when in reverse with nothing behind me, the vehicle slammed on its brakes. No audible warning in the vehicle and nothing showing on the dashboard. The vehicle just applied emergency braking. This was a witnessed event.

While driving in a plaza parking lot at approximately 18mph the AEB engaged for no reason. There were not any objects near our car to activate the system. The AEB activated so quickly and abruptly that my spouse and I needed to seek medical attention due to whiplash.

The contact owns a 2024 Chevrolet Blazer. The contact stated that while driving 20 MPH with 100 miles of charge, the vehicle stalled and shut off. The screen was black, unresponsive, and failed to start. The vehicle was towed to the local dealer, where it was diagnosed with a power module failure. The part was on back order. The electric module was previously replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was contacted, but no assistance was provided. The failure mileage was 10,381.

The contact owns a 2025 Chevrolet Blazer. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the Forward Collision Avoidance system activated while there were no objects or persons in front of the vehicle. The failure reoccurred on several occasions. The Forward Collision Avoidance warning light illuminated, and the message Approaching Person was displayed. The cross pedestrian warning activates without any object there and slams on the brakes causing severe neck problems. The cruise control doesnt disengage when pressing on brake pedal causing drive to swerve to avoid crash.

This vehicle experiences multiple recurring safety-critical system failures while driving, creating a dangerous operating condition for both the driver and the public. 1. The onstar module failed. Also controlling the pedestrian px Proximity sensor and crosstraffic sensor. When driving slowly waiting a parking lot the vehicle locked up on the brakes with the warning message pedestrian alert. The area was clear. I recently purchased this EV Blazer and one day I went to charge it at a fast charging station. It would not charge and so I got it to the Chevy dealership in Yakima, WA. They told me that the battery itself had been physically damaged due to the location of the battery and it not being protected. The keyless entry and start system intermittently fails to detect the key fob, preventing the vehicle from starting, locking, or unlocking. On one occasion, a Service Keyless Start System warning appeared on the dashboard while the vehicle was being driven at 75 MPH on a highway.
