Chevrolet Spark

Two times in the last two years my vacuum pump has failed. First time it happened in Dec 2024. It happened again in July 2026. With the failure my breaks were very difficult to push to slow the vehicle down. No lights or alarms just one minute I had breaks second they weren’t working properly. Luckily I was on a high way and had time to slow down so an accident didn’t occur. First repair my partner did second I took to a local garage to fix it.

This vehicle was serviced 3 different times. The first being a complete new transmission (so they said) being put in. A few days later same thing like it was running in limp mode. 2 nd trip back to a GM dealership(Same one) set for weeks. Called said it was fixed. Said the battery was dead. Charged me for a new battery. Same thing git home started jerking very unsafe. Cleared GM Corporate. They said they would contact the dealership for another assessment. Vehicle went into “limp mode” while merging onto a busy road, nearly causing a collision with both oncoming traffic and other vehicles attempting to merge onto the road. The vehicle was towed to a mechanic. The mechanic diagnosed the following: “Checked system codes. Found P0324 knock sensor module performance code. Found the attached TSB by GM. My transmission has been acting up like other stated where it will rev the motor high and then jerk and shift hard. There are no recalls for it when there are known issues with the transmission for the 2017.
