Odometer Fraud. The contact purchased a 2002 Chevrolet Express. It was discovered that there was a mileage discrepancy. The vehicle was a private sale. At the time of purchase, the mileage was 180,000. It was later discovered through a diagnostic test that the mileage was 298,000. The seller was contacted and informed the contact that the instrument cluster was potentially tampered with by a previous seller. The seller denied a refund request due to an as-is sale and directed the contact to the…

2011 CHEVROLET EXPRESS

Filed Aug 10, 2026

Vehicle broke down with a crank no start condition. Verified no fuel pressure. Diagnostics revealed no continuity between tank fuel pump positive lead at fuel pump relay, and ground. Removed fuel tank, disconnected fuel pump wiring harness, and found burned pin at positive terminal of fuel pump and mating harness connector. Harness displayed significant distortion and charring consistent with a poor connection.

2012 CHEVROLET EXPRESS

ABS Valve Body / Pump Harness chafed through brake hydraulic line near transmission crossmember. This resulted in a hydraulic leak and loss of brake pedal feel / partial loss of brakes. Fortunately failure occurred in the driveway--I had 4500 Lbs of sailboat trailer hitched to the van and was about to go on a long trip. Design issue. Wiring harness should not be located so as to chafe on hydraulic lines. This is not the first chafe related failure on this vehicle.

This driver did not use or did not have brake lights on when I was driving behind them today. Luckily I realized it soon and gave them extra distance.

2006 CHEVROLET EXPRESS

Filed Jul 2, 2026

I was driving approximately 70 mph on the highway when I came up behind a vehicle whose three brake lights were completely inoperative. The vehicle suddenly stopped, but there was no brake light illumination to warn following traffic. The only reason I realized the vehicle was stopping was because I was traveling on a slope and could see the vehicles ahead of it also slowing down. If the roadway had been level, I likely would not have known the vehicle was braking and could have rear-ended it…

2005 CHEVROLET EXPRESS

Filed May 8, 2026

LT245/75R16. Driving north on I-77 around Charlotte, NC around 7:40 PM and the tire blew out. I saw in my left rearview mirror the treads roll off the right side of the highway. I did not run over anything. Travel speed was 65 to 70 mph in medium traffic. No warning lights came on. Did not lose control and was able to navigate to the left side of highway when enough space opened up after a guide rail. All that was left was the rim and shredded sidewalls. Tire was installed in August,…

2005 CHEVROLET EXPRESS

I was driving and out of no where my brakes “ all four wheels “ locked up as if I was hauling a heavy load . I put on my hazard lights to warn the semi behind me. So I maintained control of my line until the cargo van slowed down to a safe speed for me to pull over . I thought the semi was going to run into the back of me, luckily the southbound line was clear so the semi took off pass me. So as I was coming to a safe stopping speed my brake pedal was stiff as well and when the cargo van…
