Vehicle was in Park and keys were out and I was on passenger side unloading a shelf and the shelf hit the shifter and the vehicle started rolling backwards and ran over my leg.

I have come across multiple post online of other people who had their axle beam failed. - Rear Axle Beam Broken. - Once the axle beam is broken while driving it can lose control and cause a major accident. - Problem has been confirmed by local service center. - Not sure. - No lights on dash.

Car was in park, ignition off, with the keys removed. The gear shift could apparently move in this locked position and the vehicle rolled backwards with a 6 year old child in the car. The car was totaled after hitting a concrete base to a light fixture. A failure occurred that allowed the car to shift gears off and in park.

Vehicle has safety recall, vehicle may stall at high speed, Toyota dealership replace fuel pump after replacements check engine light came on same day, and after few thousand miles light also came on , never fix the problem, now they charged me $280.00 to do the diagnostic check engine light even though that i purchased extended warranty for 125,000 miles and they also want to charge me $930.00 for engine de carburetor and test again…Thanks

The contact owns a 2008 Toyota Yaris. The contact stated that the vehicle unintendedly shifted from park by accidentally touching the gear selector with a knee or hand without the brake pedal being depressed. There were no warning lights illuminated. The local dealer was not contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 190,000.

I would like to point out that both Driver and Police Officer safety may be improved if all vehicle designers and manufacturers were to disrupt the convention of locating caches for the drivers vehicle registration information at or below driver shoulder height. It may be a fairly inconsequential to implement a design standard so that the paper copy of a drivers registration and insurance would be neatly and preferentially stored at a height relativistic of the drivers shoulders so that every…

The rear subframe is cracked 3/4 way through. And there is a hole rusted through behind the tire. Just found it this week when replacing wheel bearing.
