Toyota Tundra

Recall # 25V767 has been open since November 6, 2025 and the remedy is not yet available. There is a possibility that certain machining debris may not have been cleared from the engine when it was produced which can lead to potential engine knocking, engine rough running, engine no start, and/or a loss of motive power. I am concerned about this being a major safety issue and also concerned about the fact that the recall has been open since November 2025 and there is still no remedy.

This is a reoccuring issue and happens daily. When the vehicle is cold and sitting all day or all night, on the first 5 minutes of driving or so, when you push the accelerator pedal from a dead stop or rolling stop, there is no throttle/engine response for at least 1.5-2 seconds. This is a HIGHLY unsafe condition and can lead to a traffic collision. While driving my 2024 Toyota Tundra, the check engine light illuminated and the vehicle suddenly experienced reduced engine power. I safely pulled over, shut the engine off, and restarted it. Traveling on the highway with no cars near us and our panoramic sunroof exploded showering myself and my passenger with glass at highway speed. There are no over hanging trees or over passes in this area.

Water is leaking into the cab of my 2022 Toyota Tundra Platinum 4x4 through the high-mounted third brake light. Multiple vehicle systems have malfunctioned, including the transmission, infotainment/display screen, and backup camera. Most recently, the backup camera has stopped functioning, preventing a rear view while reversing. We have dropped off our vehicle in January of 2026 for an engine recall with Toyota. We are about to go into the 8th month of no repair. We have a Toyota Brand Engagement Center Case number 260615000517. Still no engine ID'd by corporate nor any updates towards eta. We have a loaner, but our truck is sitting with brand new tires and loosing value daily.
