Inside door handles continue to break at random . Small internal piece will snap and door handle no longer functions from the inside. Almost every other owner of the same year and model has had the same issue on every single interior door handle, on MULTIPLE occasions!

Inner door handle broke under normal use and toyota cant replace this due to mass failures across the country in all 4th generation tacomas. Mass backorders. I have been driving for at least 2 months with no way to exit my vehicle in case of emergency.

The power tailgate fails to open (and subsequently close) most of the time, i.e., 8/10 times, requiring significant manual force. If someone were to forcibly open the tailgate after the power button failed, load the bed with cargo, get back in the driver’s seat and attempt to close the tailgate using the button inside the car, and then subsequently drive off, someone could be severely injured or killed.

I own a 2025 Toyota Tacoma, and the interior driver’s door handle assembly has failed, preventing me from opening the driver’s door normally from inside the vehicle. The failure occurred at around 11000 miles during normal use without any accident, impact, or unusual force. The Tacoma had routine maintenance done at dealership at around 10682 miles. Toyota Corporation refuses to replace the frame and other essential parts on our 2008 Toyota Tacoma, which has had 2 previous recalls for frame replacement. We were never made aware of the previous recalls by Toyota or it's dealer who sold us the truck. We were made aware of the serious condition of the frame when our mechanic personally inspected the vehicle and notified us that the frame needed replacement. Toyota refuses to inspect or acknowledge the unsafe condition of our truck frame.…

Odometer Fraud. The contact purchased a 2016 Toyota Tacoma. It was discovered that there was a mileage discrepancy. The vehicle was a private sale. At the time of purchase, the vehicle mileage was 132,000 and at the time of registration, it was discovered that the mileage was 229,000.

Rear pressure vents leak and can cause mold with can cause breathing problems.

My Toyota Tacoma door handle fails to open from the inside. My truck has around 13,000 miles on it and I’ve only opened that door maybe 100 times over the past year. Toyota claims it’s a wear issue but multiple posts have similar incidents with no damage to them. They just fail to work. If I had a medical emergency with my type 1 diabetes or an accident and couldn’t get out of the car it could be extremely dangerous.

Drivers side interior door handle broken trapping driver inside unless they exit passenger side or roll down window to reach exterior handle. Toyota replaced with is having to pay saying known issue.

I was unable to exit my vehicle because my driver door handle wouldn’t open my door….I had to call for assistance in a disabled parking space at the Veteran hospital to open the door from the outside because I was unable to reach the outside handle due to my disability.
