My 2019 Toyota Camry is experiencing repeated door lock actuator failures that I believe create a serious safety hazard. The affected component is the door lock actuator, which controls the electronic locking and unlocking of the door, and the failed components are available for inspection upon request. The problem began with intermittent failures where a door would not lock or unlock from the inside, outside, or remote key fob. The most serious incident involved my driver-side door. After the…

On August 19, 2026, due to my seizure, my car hit another car, then fence, and finally trees in a backyard. I had fractures in my brow bone, breast, ribs, and backbone because of the hit. My wife and daughter in the back seat also had serious injuries. The side airbag came out but front airbag didn’t. The malfunction of front airbag risked my and my families’ life.

I am not sure if this is a vehicle or tire issue, but this car is a 2026 Camry nightshade edition, and it is experiencing significant Tramlining due to its combination of wheels and tires. I feel the manufacturer should do something to address this issue.

What system failed: The car accelerated on its own. It is available for inspection. I had pulled into a surface parking space creeping very slowly with about 4 feet before the concrete parking block at the front of the space. My foot was between the gas pedal and brake or was just barely touching the brake pedal when the car accelerated. The car jumped the parking block and was crossing a 3 foot planter area when I stepped on the brake, stopped the car and turned the engine off. Risk of…

Camera / Radar component - yes Camera / Radar unit is available When it failed, the dash lit up with lots of errors: engine check light, anti-skid failure light (even though the system was turned off), rotating errors included: secondary brake system malfunction, pre-collission system malfunction, LDA system malfunction, check engine. I was driving up a 6% hill on a four lane road at 65 MPH with the cruise control active. Was in the left lane passing two slower trucks when the engine just…
2018 TOYOTA CAMRY
Filed Aug 29, 2026
The vehicle has developed a high-pitched whine that is most noticeable around 30 to 55 mph. The pitch increases directly with vehicle speed, not engine RPM. The sound occurs whenever positive throttle is applied and disappears immediately when the accelerator is released, before vehicle speed noticeably decreases. Gear changes do not appear to affect the pitch. I am concerned this may indicate a transmission/transaxle or final-drive problem. No warning lights are currently present.
