Mercedes-Benz G550

The vehicle has fuel smell coming thru cabin vents. Opening the hood the vehicle also has strong fuel smell in engine bay. The hose supplying the fuel rails is cracked and damaged and does not have any heat sheild to prevent the hose from deteriorating.

Front Door harness rubs and frays causing the wires to short out. The front windows and door locks work intermittently. SRS failure lights up on dash.

On this vehicle the oil pump-oil control valve has malfunctioned. The vehicle has 54000 miles on it and the repair costs $8500. The part is only $300 but the transmission must be removed to repair the vehicle. The safety of people is not compromised by the part. The malfunction has been confirmed by the dealer. The malfunction has been reported to mercedes, the warranty company also. The check engine light came on and notified us there was a problem.

The driver-side door latch on my 2019 Mercedes-Benz G550 is malfunctioning. The door fails to securely close or stay latched, even when shut firmly. The contact owns a 2022 Mercedes-Benz G550. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V880000 (Fuel System, Gasoline); however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The local dealer was contacted. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure. VIN tool confirms parts not available.

Shortly after purchasing a new Mercedes Benz 2021 G550 on [XXX], the SUV started having electrical problems. During early 2022 the vehicle shut off while at a red light and would not restart until a few minutes later.
