Mercedes-Benz E53 AMG

AC Compressor failed on a 4 year car. These compressors shed metal pieces when they fail effecting other parts of the vehicle and creating potential for the whole car to shut down as others with this problem have experience. Also AC going out randomly in a region with heat waves causes unexpected safety and heat risk issues.

After being parked for several days at the airport, the vehicle turned on, but would not start. While driving, the instrument cluster and infotainment system displays intermittently go blank for 2-3 minutes. It appears that instrument cluster and infotainment systems crash and reboot. We have not noted any errors or warnings that may precede a failure. This has happened in this vehicle at least 5 times, in 2000 miles of driving. This presents a safety risk. As I entered a single lane roundabout the car suddenly stopped very abruptly. There was no imminent danger nor were there any cars coming through the roundabout. There was no reason to apply the brakes. Fortunately there was no car behind me otherwise there certainly would have been a rear end collision. The Engine Electrical harness is completely corroded after only 50,000 miles requiring a 4k+ repair. Oil leaking from the camshaft sensor pushed it way all throughout harness. There are no warnings as it will only be noticeable after doing routine maintenance OUTSIDE of the manufactures warranty. I received the new car on December 19-2024. The first time it was back at the dealership was December 21 for a computer malfunction. The screens shut down while driving. Since then, it has been back at the dealership #6 other times for the same issue, and they have not been able to fix things. Yesterday at a highway, it happened #6 times.

On Three (3) occasions, my engine has Stopped while the car was in gear and in motion. I was at great risk when this happened twice on August 7, 2024 while in traffic and my car stopped in the middle of traffic. One time I was able to coast into a parking lot.
