The contact owns a 2020 Mercedes-Benz AMG GT53. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the check engine warning illuminated.  Additionally, while depressing the accelerator pedal, there was a misfire coming from the engine. The contact associated the failure with NHTSA Campaign Number:  22V533000 (Electrical System); however, the VIN was not included in the recall. The dealer was contacted and diagnosed the vehicle with an electrical system failure associated with the recall, but the repair was not covered because the VIN was not included in the recall. The manufacturer was contacted by phone and made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 43,000.

Was traveling to Ft. Worth to babysit my grandchildren and when I was on the freeway in afternoon traffic my car was not accelerating and I kept stepping on the gas and the car started to get slower and then all of a sudden it completely stopped in the middle of traffic(I didn't pull over to the side like Mercedes stated, it stopped in the middle lane of the freeway, the engine light was on) and I had to locate the hazard lights so no one would run into the back of my car.  When it stopped, I had to put it in park and restart the car. I thank God that my grandchildren weren't with me or that someone didn't hit the back of the car.   I ask Siri to find the nearest dealership and it was Mercedes-Benz of Grapevine, proceeded to go there first.  They called me the next morning and told me it was the Fuel Pump.  Then on Jan. 16, 2026, I took my car in for routine maintenance and they found a leak on the Front Differential and they practically removed the whole engine to fix the leak. Had this fix on Jan 20, 2026 This car just turn 2 years old on Dec. 23.  Contacted the corporate office as I was directed by the Service Director, Richey Barnes and was told that before they could do anything it had to break down again or anything major.  I told them that I have my young grandchildren with me since I often have to babysit them and he told me that there was nothing he could do.

The contact owns a 2021 Mercedes-Benz AMG GT53. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V445000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM); however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The local dealer was contacted. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure. Complaint Possible complaints about shift quality, issues with learning the park lock, and slipping/rinse entries in the EEPROM or Transmission Health system following the replacement of the below components: - The electrohydraulic control unit (EHS valve body) in transmission 725.0/725.1 - The repair kit for the control unit (VGS) in transmission 725.0 Cause Missing, incorrectly installed, or damaged guide tubes on the EHS valve body. Remedy Check for the correct installation of the guide tubes (refer to attachments under “Cause”), correct installation if necessary. Parts Catalog References: NAG3M 725.1 AND NAG3C 725.0 (AMG only): Part numbers 100, 120, 150, 160 NAG3C 725.0 (Non AMG): Part numbers 280, 290, 330, 340 NOTE: If any of these guide tubes are not installed and the vehicle is driven, it will create several rinse and slipping events in the EEPROM data. These values caused by incorrect installation need to be erased to prevent future misdiagnosis. Submit a TIPS case to the Powertrain inbox with the following to receive the necessary reset password: - Initial Quick Test w/ Freeze frame data - VGS Control Unit Log - IPR Result - Initial EEPROM data (before repairs) - Latest EEPROM data - Photo of oil level ultrasonic measurement next to XENTRY specifications Please provide detail regarding the reasoning for the initial replacement in your workshop findings and measures performed. Mercedes-Benz AG, the manufacturer of Mercedes-Benz vehicles, has determined that on certain subject vehicles, the engine control unit software does not correspond to the current series production configuration. Some customers may notice a noise from the radiator fan as well as a corresponding fault message displayed in the instrument cluster. MBUSA will conduct a service campaign. An authorized Mercedes-Benz dealer will update the engine control unit software.

Complaint Only vehicles with a variable transfer case are affected. This can be identified through control unit N45 or N15/7 in the quick test. When accelerating with light load, vibrations or jolting sensation may come from the drivetrain. It may be mistaken for a harsh shift. Cause Modified oil quality of the transfer case over time Remedy 1. Check initial quick test for faults in the following control units. N45 or N15/7 - All-wheel drive (ARS) N127 - 'Drivetrain' (PTCU) control unit Y3/8 - Transmission control for 9-gear transmission (VGS) N3/10 - Engine electronics for combustion engine If faults are present: Process them as per the guided test in Xentry. If no faults are present: 2. Check the transmission oil level If the oil level is correct: 3. Unplug the connector for the transfer cases control unit and reassess the vehicle on a subsequent test drive If the complaint no longer occurs with the control unit disconnected: 4. Perform an oil change of the transfer case according to WIS specifications - Collect an oil sample of the original fluid 5. Complete all transfer case Tech-in processes located under VG Control Unit > Adaptations - Resetting the oil service data - Calibration of N15/7 5. Perform road test of vehicle to bring transmission to operating temperature ( >60C ) 6. Operate vehicle in full circle with steering at full lock - 5x to the left - 5x to the right 7. Perform an extended 200mi road test to ensure the clutches are properly conditioned with the new oil. 8. Reassess the concern and release the vehicle if no longer present. If the concern continues to occur with the control unit disconnected or after the above steps have been performed, please submit a TIPS case to the Powertrain inbox with the following information: - Initial quick test with fault freeze frame data - Initial transmission EEPROM data - VGS and Transfer Case Control Unit Log (N45 or N15/7) - Photo of the original oil condition - What color was the fluid drained from the transfer case before the oil change? - Was an oil sample collected, and can you provide a photo of the original fluid? - What color and part number fluid was used during the oil change? - How far was the vehicle driven after?

Complaint At low speeds and light brake pressure, brakes will make a groaning or honking noise. Cause Frictional vibrations with very light brake pressure/modulations. Remedy This condition can be duplicated on most vehicles. To validate, use a like for like reference vehicle. The noise is normal behavior under the conditions listed. With very light brake pressure this noise can be induced/caused due to normal brake pad and brake rotor vibrations. Exchanging brake components will not rectify.

Complaint Crackling and cracking noise from the outer wheel on the front axle when cornering Cause The noise is generated by a micromovement on the contact surface between the rim and the brake disk (wheel bolt group) and may be intensified by potential soiling. The more lightweight rim (AMG forged rim) transmits the noise louder; in the case of cast rims, the noise is generally not perceptible. This is not a technical defect, but rather a complaint concerning comfort. Safe operation of the vehicle is ensured at all times. Remedy Important note: The operations described below do not represent a permanent remedy in every case. The noise may reoccur again after an indefinite period of time; sanding the rims with abrasive media multiple times is not permissible. Only cleaning using the Hazet tool 4960-160 (recommendation) can be performed without any concerns each time the wheel is changed or if the complaint reoccurs. Replacing the parts (rim, wheel bolts, wheel bearings, wheel hub, brake disk) is not expedient in the event of this complaint. Clean the components of the wheel bolt connection according to the WIS instructions Sand down the rim and brake disk bowl by performing the following steps: • Manually sand rim (old design only) in area of water drain bores (Figure 1; item A), approx. 1.5 cm left and right of water drain bore (Figure 2) Note: Use abrasive paper with grit size 80. The grooving in this area should no longer be visible (sand down approx. 0.1-0.2mm) • Also sand brake disk bowl using emery cloth or abrasive paper with a grain size of 120 • For vehicles equipped with the AMG ceramic brake system (B07), abrasive paper may not be used for cleaning on the brake disk side Note: Do not use any cleaning agent when cleaning on the rim side. Cleaning using abrasive paper with a grain size of 80 will suffice. Do not apply any grease, lubricant or paste after cleaning The brake disk bowl should be bare metal in the area of the imprints made by the hole (Figure 3)

Complaint Complaints of oil leaking from rear differential oil pan area. Cause In the groove where the pan seal is placed, there may be imperfections (porosity) in the casting causing fluid to leak past the seal. The supplier states this only affects rear differentials with 2023 production date. The production date can be found stamped on the housing cover (see attachment). Remedy 1. Follow the attached instructions to inspect the rear differential cover for porosity. 2. Repair the vehicle with the applicable repair kit for the chassis. - The new oil pans that come with the repair kit should be produced in 2024 and not have this issue. *When submitting the claim, please reference this LI document and if porosity was found.*

Complaint Transmission control unit Y3/8n4 (fully integrated transmission control unit (VGS)) not listed in quick test and/or no communication possible with VGS. Cause Transmission control unit Y3/8n4 Remedy For vehicles with 722.9 transmission: Ensure LI54.15-P-057373 is performed before replacing any component parts. After processing and complying with the above document(s): 1. Perform an ignition reset on Y3/8n4 (VGS) 2. Inspect transmission connector for loose connections, damaged wiring or pins and any other concerns If communication with the VGS cannot be established, the complete valve body ('electrohydraulic controller unit (EHS)') must be replaced. Installation of a VGS repair kit is not permitted in this case as it is not possible to transfer the necessary valve characteristics without communication with the original control unit.

Complaint After a software update from campaign 2025050001 of component LIB48_222 - G1/3 (48 V on-board electrical system battery) from software release A 000 902 50 48 to software release A 000 902 15 89, the fault code B183319 may be output. B183319 The battery for the 48V on-board electrical system has a malfunction. The limit value for current has been exceeded Cause Anomaly in the software update Remedy Please perform the following steps in the specified sequence: 1.) Delete fault codes 2.) Disconnect XENTRY Diagnosis and the 12 V battery charger 3.) Disconnect ground cable from the 12 V battery 4.) Ensure bus idle for at least 10 minutes 5.) Re-connect ground cable to the 12 V battery 6.) Delete fault codes again 7.) Perform a test drive 8.) Check fault codes > If fault code B183319 is still current, continue with the guided fault analysis in XENTRY Diagnosis. > If fault code B183319 goes to stored and can be cleared, no further action is required.
