I have had this car in three times for electrical issues related to the Hybred battery. This car had a recall for the battery and I took it in on [XXX] for the recall. The fix for this recall was not to fix the battery but rather to limit the amount the battery can be charged to 80-85%%. I was advised by Lincoln that a potential plug in hybrid battery flaw could result in damage to the vehicle and its occupants. I was going forward in drive maybe 5 mph, came to a stop and opened my driver door , My car has the safety feature when you open your door, it automatically goes into park, it did, and so I proceeded to get out. I noticed my car kind of made a jerk, and the next thing I know it was going in reverse. I tried to jump in to stop it so it wouldn’t hit my house and it ran me over on the ankle. After a rain the rear tail lights went out. Water is getting in the light and shorting out the lights. On line it is a known issue and Lincoln is handling it under warranty for 2024 - 2026 and listed as a safety issue. My 2022 is 3 weeks out of warranty and nothing is offered. The cost to correct over $2000 with no guarantee it won’t happen again.

Recall 25SC4 software update would reduce the EV only range by as much as 20% below the Wikndow Sticker 27 miles. This action does not correct the problem which caused the recall. The root cause is a manufacturing flaw in the Samsung SDI battery cells where the thin separator layer between the cathode and anode was damaged. Several problems have occurred, not sure if they are related or not. The vehicle is available for inspection upon request. In my opinion as a retired mechanic the problem components might include transmission, torque converter, accelerator or any electrical components associated with these systems.
