What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? The Lane Keep Assist (LKA) system on my 2023 Range Rover Velar P250 has lost its active steering intervention capability following one or more Software Over The Air (SOTA) updates. The system no longer applies corrective steering torque to keep the vehicle within lane markings. The vehicle is available for inspection upon request. How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? Lane…

As I was driving down the interstate doing about 75 miles per hour the car lost all power without a warning. It was at night in the middle of no where. I almost had a bad accident but I was able to veer off the road before the car brakes locked. I was unable to use safety flashers.

2019 LAND ROVER RANGE ROVER VELAR
Filed Apr 25, 2026
I am reporting a premature failure of the daytime running light (DRL) system on my Range Rover Velar. Both DRLs have failed within approximately one year of each other, indicating a likely systemic defect rather than normal wear. The DRLs are integrated LED components within the headlamp assembly and are not serviceable independently. When the DRL fails, the entire headlight assembly must typically be replaced. I have been informed that a single replacement headlight assembly can cost…

2019 LAND ROVER RANGE ROVER VELAR

My 2019 Range Rover Velar P250 R-Dynamic SE began experiencing cooling system issues approximately 5 months after purchase. The vehicle was brought to an authorized Land Rover dealership several times during the warranty period. Despite these visits, the underlying problem — including cracked thermostat housing, leaking coolant hoses, and plastic cooling system components — was never permanently repaired. Over time, the unresolved defect caused catastrophic engine and turbocharger failure,…

Odometer Fraud. The contact purchased a 2022 Land Rover Range Rover Velar. It was discovered that there was a mileage discrepancy. The vehicle was a dealer sale. At the time of the purchase, the mileage was approximately 27,300. The vehicle was towed to the dealer for software updates months after it was purchased. A technician performed software updates and informed the contact of a mileage discrepancy. The scan tool displayed an approximate mileage of 45,000. The contact had not driven the…

2018 LAND ROVER RANGE ROVER VELAR
Filed Jan 13, 2026
I am submitting this complaint regarding a serious safety and operability issue involving my 2018 Land Rover Range Rover, which has rendered the vehicle inoperable and unsafe to drive. Within approximately four months of purchase, the vehicle experienced repeated mechanical failures, including persistent check engine warnings, limp mode activation, failed compression testing, fuel injector failures across all cylinders, exhaust and turbo-related faults, and a full diesel particulate filter…
