The contact owns a 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee. While the contact's husband was driving approximately 72 MPH with the contact seated in the front passenger’s seat and two children in the rear seats, the occupants heard a loud bang coming from the rear of the vehicle. I just experienced a 2nd engine stall event. I was driving thru a neighborhood at 25 mph in 5th gear, lifted off the gas pedal as I approached a 90 degree uphill turn, and in the middle of the turn (approx 20 mph) the engine stalled and I lost all propulsion. I retired from Stellantis after 16 years working as a contract transmission calibrator, so I am very familiar with what happened. When I lifted off the gas pedal the engine attempted to enter decel fuel shut off (dfso). I was watching…

The uconnect touch screen is delaminating. It is causing issues with being able to use the backup camera with accuracy because the delamination causes a visual distortion. Also, it has been causing issues with the controls where it repeatedly gets stuck and ghost touches options in the vehicle while driving, which is concerning. The delamination started as a small spot and has rapidly increased to half the screen. This is clearly a widespread chronic issue/defect with many Jeep GC models, if…

2018 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE

Filed Jul 15, 2026

I own a 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee EcoDiesel that has experienced repeated high-pressure fuel pump (HPFP) failures despite completion of the NHTSA HPFP safety recall. After the recall was performed, my vehicle developed the exact failure described in the recall. Metal contamination was found in the fuel system, requiring replacement of the HPFP and major fuel system components. Approximately 13,000 miles later, during routine fuel filter maintenance, I suspected the failure had returned. I asked…

while driving the car puts itself in park, then the gear shift D starts blinking and the dashboard says put into Park. I've took it to jeep to figure it out and fix it. i got it back and while on the highway it did it again causing me to almost get hit by several cars. I was on the highway doing the speed limit and no brake lights also when it happens. I took it back to jeep and they still have no clue but my jeep is to dangerous to drive period. There are not warning signs when it happens.
