The starter/starter solenoid and related engine oil sealing have failed three times. Most recently on 6/18/2026, and previously in 2024 and 2025, the vehicle would not start: the dashboard illuminated but the engine would not crank. The engine then began smoking and a burning electrical smell entered the cabin. My wife and young child were in the vehicle. The vehicle was rendered completely inoperable and had to be towed each time. Safety risk: an engine that smokes and emits a burning…

The rear right coil spring and is available for inspection upon request. Spring failed while car was parked in driveway on flat ground, the car was driven with me and my 1 year old at highway speeds of 75mph. No warnings were displayed on dashboard. Never received an update of a recall and will not pull up when VIN is searched. Upon VIN search on MOPAR website original recall repair was done in 2023 which has failed. We did not know of this spring failure until arriving home and seeing it lie…

2023 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE L

Filed Jul 16, 2026

While driving, the vehicle displayed a Service Shifter warning with no prior warning lamps or symptoms. The transmission then dropped out of Drive into Neutral on its own while the vehicle was moving, causing it to roll before the vehicle automatically shifted itself into Park and applied the parking brake. The vehicle could be shifted back into Drive but repeatedly slipped out of gear into Neutral again within about a minute each time. After parking, the gear indicator display (P/R/N/D)…

I am reporting that the vehicle is having a constant knocking sound and weird rocking driving problem when in motion leading to pulling to one side and uneven balancing even with perfect alignment and no alignment issues. Vehicle has been serviced at the dealership without any remedy to the problem and was informed that other vehicles for the same model type Jeep 2021 Grand Cherokee L. Control Arms and other components were replaced and the problem was not resolved

The rear passenger side suspension coil fell out of my car in my driveway at less then 2 mph. The spring and rubber piece holding the spring in both fell to the ground with no damage done. The vehicle was towed to a jeep dealership where they confirmed there was no damage to any part of the vehicle, and it just fell out with no explanation. The dealer insists that we cannot reinstall the same sping, even though there is no damage to the vehicle or spring. If this would have happened at highway…

Crash

No warning lamps were displayed relating to the recall. I was hit from behind while driving between 60 and 70MPH. I lost control and spun around twice before violently hitting a guard rail, perpendicular to the driver's side of my vehicle. The side/door airbags failed to deploy. My neck was thrown into the seatbelt and door. I suffered from partial vocal cord paralysis, tinnitus, dysphagia, loss of hearing, pain, and other symptoms due to the impact; my sternocleidomastoid and associated nerves…

2025 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE L

Filed Jul 8, 2026

I am reporting a serious safety failure in my 2025 Jeep Grand Cherokee L (1,483 miles). On XXX, the vehicle was parked with my wife and young children inside. Upon starting it, the vehicle would not shift into gear, the steering wheel locked, and the front windows stopped working. The lane departure symbol lit up during the failure, and the vehicle would not shut off through normal controls. After two hours, we shut it off by disconnecting the battery. When restarted, the check engine light…

Dead Battery. The Telematics Bix Module (TBM) is failing to properly shut off when the car is parked. Therefore it induces a parasitic drain on the battery. We have had the battery replaced by the dealer. This problem is known to affect 2022-2025 models.

2023 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE L

Filed Jul 7, 2026

Rear passenger coil spring popped out and became lodged in the tire while driving. We were driving on the Whitestone expressway and the car came to a resisted halt. This could have caused severe injury if I had not been in the lane and came to a slowdown to allow a car to merge in front of me. The highway traffic patrol man dislodged the fully intact coil from between the tire and tire well. There were no warning lamps, indicators, signs or symptoms. Initially I thought the tire popped…
