Odometer Fraud. The contact purchased a 2019 Honda Insight. It was discovered that there was a mileage discrepancy. The vehicle was a dealer sale. At the time of purchase, the vehicle mileage was 85,000 and at the time of registration, it was discovered that the mileage was 185,000.

After the recall repair, the vehicle developed a sensor warning directing me to return to the dealer. On February 17, 2026, the dealer inspected the vehicle. I was driving to Pilates class and everything was normal but as I reached a railroad crossing the car suddenly and for no reason stopped dead on the tracks. Luckily for me there were no vehicles in front or behind me and there were no trains coming. The car was last driven and parked at about 8:30pm local time. At around noon the next day, we noticed that the dashboard in the vicinity of the passenger airbag was melted with an approximately 12-inch hole. There was soot staining the interior of the vehicle, and the windshield was burned and cracked above the hole in the dashboard.
