The digital gauge on the Genuine Honda Fit Instrument Cluster (factory-installed) flickers or goes blank intermittently. It is a well-documented and known defect in this model. I was in a wreck where I tried to switch lanes from the left to the right, and my power train switched off- which caused electrical parts to splatter into my engine. I then lost control of the power steering. I tried to over correct twice and crashed into the highway divider to avoid hurting anyone else. The only airbags that went off were the passenger side- no driver’s side, front or center. The evidence of the vehicle will show this along with my bodily injuries.

The vehicle has experienced the same electrical/charging problem twice. The first time, three warning lights came on while I was driving. The vehicle subsequently lost electrical power and began experiencing a significant loss of acceleration. Car lost power when driving and MIL light came on. Loss of power placed myself and all those around me in a hazardous situation. Took to Honda dealer and P219A engine code came up. I had multiple lights trigger on one day, so I took it to get the codes read. Both times I got it read it said there was an issue with the fuel injector and master cylinder. I found out online that a lot of Honda fits in my year have been recalled for the fuel injectors going out. Sadly mine wasn’t on the list so I figured I’d report it since my fuel injectors are going out. Thank you.
