While Driving on freeway, engine suddenly stops. This has happened four times now in the last two years one time was almost deadly as we were surrounded by semi’s and lost power completely except for the small amount of hybrid power. I had to quickly get to the side, barely missing a semi truck. 2021 Honda CRV hybrid. I have taken it into Bountiful Honda in Utah after each episode, the first time they did some adjustments it was about $600. The second time they just kept it for six weeks and…

Windshield wiper washer does not properly clean the windshield. Holding the wiper stalk in the spray position , the spray only squirts for a sec or so as the wiper blade is vertical . Not enough cleaning solution is deposited in the correct location to clean the windshield. All other vehicles I have owned spray solution the entire duration of the wiper stalk being in the spray position. This is the best way to insure that the windshield is properly cleaned for safe viewing.

My 2024 Honda CR-V Hybrid experienced a severe total electrical failure that required a complete battery replacement. This massive electrical surge permanently damaged and corrupted the vehicle's infotainment head unit hardware. Ever since this power surge, the vehicle suffers from continuous, dangerous electronic malfunctions. Specifically, the Apple CarPlay and complete audio system intermittently freeze, crash, and shut down completely while operating the vehicle at highway speeds. This…

I was proceeding through a green light and the “BRAKE” warning engaged when I was going through the intersection - there was nothing in front of me. I had no control of the braking system. Thankfully, there were no other cars on the road. This has happened about 4 other times, including a couple of times on the freeway.

Hello, My name is [XXX], and I am writing to bring an urgent matter to your attention. Recently, I had a concerning incident with my vehicle. After parking the car to drop my son off at his lessons, I stepped out of the vehicle and removed him from the back seat. Within about 40 seconds, the rear window of the car suddenly exploded without any apparent cause. There was no prior damage to the window, and nothing struck it or was forced against it. The glass simply shattered right in front of…

I am reporting multiple factory defects on my 2024 Honda CR-V, led by a severe, confirmed steering safety defect commonly known as 'sticky steering' where the steering wheel sticks/notches while driving and requires excessive force to correct, causing dangerous lane swerving. The authorized Honda dealership confirmed the steering gearbox has failed and requires replacement but the necessary parts are backordered indefinitely, forcing me to leave the unsafe vehicle at the dealership.…

The contact owns a 2025 Honda CR-V. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 26V366000 (Tires); however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. Two local dealers were contacted and confirmed that the part was not yet available. The dealer informed the contact that the vehicle was 83rd on a waiting list. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was unreachable. The contact had not…

2018 HONDA CR-V

Filed Jul 20, 2026

While driving straight and then attempting to make a Lane Change or take an Off Ramp or On Ramp the Steering would require extra effort to make the vehicle do what was needed. The Assist Features were OFF at the time. I took the vehicle into Jim White Honda, Maumee, OH and what they found was in line with the 2017, 2018 Honda CRV recall for STICKY STEERING. They informed me that my VIN was not included in the recall even though it demonstrated the same problem and the procedure to repair the…

The contact owns a 2025 Honda CR-V. The contact stated that while driving on a toll road, there was an abnormally loud sound coming from the engine and vehicle started losing automotive power and the vehicle decelerated unintendedly. The vehicle was later towed to a local dealer who inspected the engine and discovered metal shavings inside the engine oil. The cause of the engine failure was not yet determined, and the vehicle was not yet repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure.…
