Cadillac XT6

I noticed a water sloshing sound behind the dash when first starting out for about a month. DTC P0128 engine coolant thermostat to open at a lower temperature than intended. The Check Engine Light appeared, a Steering warning appeared on my information screen, and the engine cooling fan continued to run excessively after turning off. I understand there is a Special Coverage N252508350 for this exact issue, however, GM is refusing to cover the cost of repairs.

On September 15,2026, my vehicle experienced a catastrophic los of power steering assist accompanied by severe heavy steering. The contact owns a 2020 Cadillac XT6. The contact stated that while accelerating from a complete stop and driving below 30 MPH, the vehicle shuddered, hesitated, and jerked. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was diagnosed with burned transmission fluid and excessive metal shavings inside the fluid. The contact owns a 2020 Cadillac XT6. The contact stated that while reversing at an undisclosed speed, the rear-view camera screen was intermittently dark and inoperable. The camera malfunction warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken back to the residence. The failure mileage was approximately 41,000.

I was driving in a highway going at highway speed and the car suddenly just shut off and all the alert lights were reflected at that time the car was not responding completely, shut off, then within seconds after the lights flashed it started on it's own. It was the first time this happened. I was concerned that the car would not respond and maybe could have cost an accident.

Your site shows no recalls. I got a recall for a repair I had to have done a few months ago. I just got the recall notice from GM, but when I called to inquire about a reimbursement, they state the recall was released in 10/2025. Even though your site says there was no recall at the time.

Vehicle stalled while driving on a busy road creating a very dangerous situation. Could not put it in neutral to push it out of the road; it was partially in the road for over an hour. Had to have it towed to replace the fuel pump and fuel pump control unit. Found two recalls after the incident and was told by Cadillac that my VIN was excluded. 1.
