Cadillac XT5

The vehicle has approximately 40,000 miles. The thermostat and/or coolant temperature sensor malfunctioned, causing the warning message “Steering Assist Is Reduced, Drive With Care” to appear. This condition raises a safety concern because the malfunction affects or appears to affect the vehicle’s steering-assist system and could make the vehicle more difficult to safely control. I believe this issue warrants investigation by NHTSA and consideration for a safety recall.

The contact owns a 2023 Cadillac XT5. The contact stated that upon shifting into reverse(R), the vehicle intermittently failed to respond. The contact stated that the failure had progressively worsened, and the vehicle responded after an extended period. The vehicle was taken to the dealer; however, the failure was not duplicated. The failure mileage was approximately 13,000.

Took my car to have new brakes. Talked to mechanic about noise from muffler. I was told baffle was broke inside. He told me the airflow could eventually be block which will disable the vehicle. This could happen while driving. My vehicle has 56,000 miles. I see another person stating the same issue. This issue needs to be on recall. I have not repaired yet.

Pointing out a “safety body design flaw.” I own a 2025 Cadillac XT5 Sport vehicle. VIN# [XXX]. At the bottom of the all four doors is a plastic piece with sharp edges on the bottom. A recall (NHTSA 22V70900)was issued Sep 22 2022 on Cadillac XT5 2020-2021. The rearview camera coaxial cable connectors may have been crimped improperly, causing the rearview camera to fail or function intermittently.
