NHTSA RECALL #25V-586 Around September of 2025, I notified Alfa Romeo Customer service that my vehicle was experiencing symptoms of this recall. Symptoms include but are not limited to severe fuel pump whine that fluctuates with RPM, as well as intermittent LOMP. The whine is audible 100% of the time. Caught on fire while parked for over an hour. No indication of any problem when driven earlier in the day. Parked in outdoor apt lot. Smelled smoke. Ran out and saw engine was on fire. Called fire department to extinguish it.

Just bought a 2020 Alfa Romeo Giulia from Carvana and two days later while driving the check engine light came on along with the electronic throttle light and the auto start/stop light. While driving the vehicle went into complete limp mode in a busy intersection and I had to pull off quickly to avoid being hit by other traffic. Engine codes came up fuel pressure related.

The vehicle is experiencing multiple system malfunctions involving the engine performance, fuel system, and electronic throttle control, including engine shaking while idling, activation of the check engine light, a “start/stop unavailable” message, limp mode (inability to switch between driving modes), and illumination of the electronic throttle control warning light.
