2018 NISSAN ROGUE SPORT Cooling fan sudden stop and causing overheating in engine, warm air through AC, and AC clutch to shut off. Known problem with 2018-2020 NISSAN ROGUE models. Only an issue at lower speeds and when max air and coldest setting fan does not engage.

The driver-side door and left rear passenger door do not properly lock or unlock using the key fob. This is a consistent issue and creates a safety concern because the doors may remain unlocked while the vehicle is in operation. This malfunction poses a potential security and passenger safety risk. Manually locking and unlocking the doors while entering, exiting, or operating the vehicle is inconvenient and could create hazardous situations. No warning lights, alerts, or diagnostic messages…

2019 NISSAN ROGUE SPORT

On April 2, 2026, I was operating my 2019 Nissan Rogue Sport (Mileage: 45,905) at approximately 30 mph when a sudden surge occurred in the engine compartment. Despite depressing the accelerator, the vehicle lost all forward propulsion. I managed to coast through my development and into my garage. Upon arrival, all dashboard warning lights illuminated simultaneously, at which point I immediately deactivated the engine. After exiting the vehicle, I observed a total loss of transmission fluid…

The radiator fans in the Nissan Rogues are faulty. The AC stops working and then the car overheats causing loss of fluid and white smoke coming out from underneath the hood. The engine light didn't even come on to warn us that the car was overheating.

Radiator fan leading to engine overheating, fan fails to turn on causing high engine temperatures & AC failure. Nissan is aware of issues & takes no responsibility. Early on when vehicle experienced symptoms & under warranty, I brought vehicle in several times & was told they couldn’t find anything wrong. Since warranty has expired, we’ve had to fix once & now it’s happening again. Some symptoms: loud rattling in engine bay, AC blows hot air while idling & low speeds, engine overheating &…

My 2018 Nissan Rogue Sport has been exhibiting intermittent CVT transmission hesitation for several months. The hesitation occurs regularly after stops and during longer drives, and the only way to temporarily resolve the issue is to turn the vehicle off and back on. The check engine light has also illuminated. My vehicle only has 67,000 miles on it. I brought the vehicle to a Nissan dealership where I was quoted $7,240 + tax to replace the full transmission assembly. I contacted Nissan…

2021 NISSAN ROGUE SPORT

Filed Mar 25, 2026

When driving home on the evening of 3/24, I was on the interstate (70mph) when my 2021 Nissan Rogue started to decelerate and would not gain speed. I got off at the next frontage road exit and when at the stop sign my check engine light came on and shortly after my car started sputtering when stopped and would barely gain speed. There was no prior warning lights or signs to indicate an issue. The car dealership was already closed so it was taken the morning of 3/25 where a diagnostic was…

The contact owns a 2022 Nissan Rogue Sport. The contact stated that while starting the vehicle and driving at an undisclosed speed, the engine made an abnormal sound. No warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or dealer. The contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V437000 (Engine and Engine Cooling); however, the VIN was not included in the recall. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage…

2019 NISSAN ROGUE SPORT

In October of 2025 my car stalled in slow traffic after a 100 mile car ride. After 20 minutes, it started again. The engine code was P0507. Two weeks later, without warning as I was accelerating on the highway the car stopped in the middle lane. This was incredibly dangerous. I had to wait 30 minutes in busy am traffic for a police escort. And the event was costly as I had to pay $200 to be towed off the highway. Once the car arrived at the service center, it started again. The mechanic…
