While idling, the vehicle shutoff on it’s own and restarted. Then again while stopped at a red light and again while driving to a mechanic. No warnings or indications that this would happen. It put myself and children at risk because the roads are full of snow leaving us no place for us to pull over. I was driving 75MPH down the interstate when out of nowhere my engine started acting funny. It started to slow down and then the check engine light came on. As we were exiting the engine started stuttering. We were able to get it to a gas station. It was towed to a mechanic where they found that there were multiple cylinder misfires. Engine developed a knock and associated power issues as per Nissan technical bulletin NTB 19-057a. Nissan did not make owners of the affected VIN numbers aware of the issue.

The motor developed rod knock as the vehicle was traveling down the highway. The low oil pressure light came on along with an audible warning. This vehicle has previously been repaired by the dealer for the same issue at 97,273 miles (the engine needed to be replaced). This issue has now reoccured at 156,310 miles (less than 60,000 miles later). This engine failure could result in the vehicle stalling on the highway resulting in a collision.

The contact owns a 2017 Nissan NV. The contact stated that while driving approximately 40 MPH around a curve, the brake pedal was depressed and the front tires seized for several seconds, causing the vehicle to slide on the road. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or dealer. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and advised the contact to file a complaint with the NHTSA Hotline. The failure mileage was approximately 125,000.

The sliding door continually gets stuck and won’t open from the inside or outside often.

Side window leaks and dealer is unable to get the replacement glass nor fix the issue in 4 months already. The leak is causing me to have to replace the window myself, likely with plexiglass, though it’s under warranty. This is unsafe and should be properly handled by the dealer in a timely manner.

On April 1, 2023, my husband was weed-eating on our farm and a rock flew and hit the window directly behind the driver and shattered it. On July 4, 2023 I was backing out of a driveway and put my vehicle back into Drive. A piece out of the steering column fell at my feet. I pulled back into the driveway and could not get the vehicle to shift into park to be able to remove the keys from the ignition. We used the emergency brake.
