Lexus RX350L

I was driving on the highway and suddenly there was a loud explosion and the sound of hundreds of time things or debris hitting my car. Thankfully I did not hit the brakes or lose control of my vehicle, but I easily could have! I then saw little pieces of glass falling off my car from my rear view mirror. I pulled over to find that it was my sunroof. There was no impact from anything, the glass was pointed upward as if the explosion came from inside. This was incredibly scary!

The passenger rear tire (235/60R19 - Michelin Primacy A/S) randomly blew out while driving at high speeds on the highway. No trauma via a pothole or other object was noted. Tire was inflated to the manufacture recommended PSI (33 PSI). No signs came up until the tire blew out. The tire just randomly decided to give out while driving.

While driving the engine stalls. It has jolted back-and-forth at times and had to be taken to a dealer. It’s still stalls when trying to slowly accelerate especially uphills. Low gas mileage barely getting 18 miles per gallon. Warning lights flickering while car stallling. It’s like it’s having a seizure. This has happened a few times.

This vehicle is being sold at a dealership in Layton Utah. They have rolled back the odometer to show 119,287k miles, but the vehicle was last serviced by the Lexus dealer at 164,279 miles.

Dealership rolled back the odometer to 125,460 miles, but the last service was performed at 162k miles at Lexus of Murray.

Around 11 am on Sat., May 2, 2026, I was sitting in a very long line in Starbuck's drive thru when my 2025 Lexus RX hybrid suddenly and uncontrollably accelerated--like an uncontrollable bucking horse. The car does not alert when a seat belt is not worn in the back seats. This feature is mentioned in the owner's manual, but the car fails to alert when a rear passenger does not buckle their seat belt. I have raised the complaint twice and proved to lexus service center, that car doesn't warn or alert the safety belt. It was also proven and checked by Lexus with their technician.
