The carbon fiber interior trim on my 2018 Lexus GS F is delaminating at three locations: left of the steering wheel, right of the steering wheel, and the center console/shifter surround. The clear coat is lifting, cracking, and separating from the substrate, and it has worsened with temperature cycling. Mileage is approximately 72,000. The parts remain installed and are available for inspection on request. Safety risk: The lifting clear coat next to the steering wheel causes glare in direct…

During highway driving speeds low pressure fuel pump is showing symptoms of issues. Car will cut off while driving and requires 12V battery reset. Low pressure fuel pump will make noise similar to a “ humming “ noise from underneath rear seats of the vehicle. Lexus corporate is refusing to perform and include my 2016 Lexus GS-F for the open recall. Lexus manufacturer recall ID : 26LB05 ; NHTSA recall ID : 26V222.

I own a 2016 Lexus GS 350 and noticed in 2018 that the dashboard had a sticky substance not realizing the dashboard of my car was indeed melting! It looks terrible! People get in my car and ask, What happen to your dashboard? I live in Houston, Texas where temperatures reach upper 90s even 100s which affects my visibility while driving due to the glare reflected on windshield with melting dashboard. With research it's unfortunate Lexus has not sent out recall notice on this matter. I am all…

I am experiencing a persistent and potentially hazardous steering issue with my 2016 Lexus GS 350 AWD (Luxury Package). At highway speeds (typically 60 mph and above), the steering exhibits a distinct sticky or notchy sensation around the center position. Specifically, the steering wheel resists small corrective inputs when driving straight and appears to stick in place before releasing and allowing directional change. This results in delayed response when attempting to maintain lane position…

When driving at highway speeds (65mph-75mph) the steering rack in Lexus gs350 (4th generation models) will seem “sticky” on “swooping turns”. A slight jerk is the only way to get out of this sticky feeling. The steering racks have been a major issue with these cars and seem fairly frequent to malfunction. I personally think, considering safety standpoint, the steering rack should be recalled. This issue is very prevalent in many Lexus/toyota models with electronic steering racks (not just the…

Vehicle is 2016 lexus GS350 showing clear coat failure on the roof on the edges. Door handles and black pillar cover are not both showing discoloration. The head light cover under both headlights have lost its color. A vehicle of this age should not be having paint failure like this. I contacted the lexus customer service mentioning this is a defect with the paint application and they wouldn't help.

In October 2019 my engine upon start made a knocking/rattling sound. The engine noise continued even after the car was warm. The vacuum pump was diagnosed by the dealership and it was repaired under the manufacturer's warranty. From my understanding, the failure of the vacuum pump could cause the brakes to not respond. In December 2023 the vacuum pump displayed the same knocking/rattling sounds and the dealer diagnosed the vacuum pump as requiring replacement. No warning lamps, messages or…

The system which has intermittent failure on my 2017 Lexus GS350 is the lane keeping assistance safety option. The system seems to work almost perfectly on straight highways. But highways with curves seem to fail at about a 50% rate and human intervention is quickly required. The car is available for inspection and demonstration of the system failure on a nearby winding road. My safety and my wife's safety were put at risk when I realized that my car was heading for a curb and not making ANY…

The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic and the contact was informed that the failure was due to a defect in the windshield being glued on one side. The windshield had been repaired. While A/C is on, passenger side AC vent is blowing warm air while driver side and back seat AC vents are blowing cold air. Lowering the cabin air temperature controls do not correct the issue. It makes the car temperature get hot and uncomfortable, which becomes distracting when driving.
