On October 7, 2026, I experienced a serious safety issue as a passenger in a Waymo autonomous vehicle. The ride began at approximately 8:16 AM and was estimated to take 13 minutes. Alma St in Palo Alto is a five lane thoroughfare with two through lanes in each direction and a shared center turn lane. Main batter has a recall for fire hazed which Jaguar is not fixing. Car gave a battery warning while driving but luckily, I was able to get home before it completely failed. Dealer will not fix the main battery which is the cause of the issue but want me to pay $4000 for a air conditioning issue they say caused electrical failure yet the battery is known to be faulty.

Battery charger failed following H570 safety recall while solution is being worked on for recall H572. Car has been at dealership for more than 50 days now with dealership not able to repair the defective part mainly due to the manufacturer being unable to provide a working part; first two replacement parts have been delivered damaged and third part is nowhere to be found although it was promised to be delovered on 9/10/26
