I drove to work just fine on May 19th, 2020, when I got off work around 3pm. I started the car and as I was about to pull out on Brightleaf BLVD in smithfield, NC my car just stopped. I purchased this used 2016 Buick Enclave in July 2026. Shortly after purchase, the vehicle began repeatedly jerking and hesitating while driving. During occurrences, Traction Control/StabiliTrak warnings appeared and the vehicle experienced loss of power and difficulty accelerating normally. The contact stated that while driving at 35 MPH and attempting to make a right turn around a curve, the driver-side curtain airbag deployed unexpectedly and struck the contact's left temple, causing the contact to lose consciousness. The problematic 9 speed transmission failed at 72,000 miles on [XXX]. GM required a flush due to the significant shudder problems in the transmissions. My car starting making a loud noise upon start up and continued while driving, sounded like a GoCart exhaust system and was not normal. It just sounded loud and would get louder when accelerated until the car ran for awhile. I first noticed it at about 83,500 miles. I took to the dealer for checkup at 83,950 miles when I could get an appointment. The vehicle has issues with the air bags and seats. If you move the seat the airbag light comes on. There were open recalls and while the dealership says they are repaired, this is an ongoing issue and the fixes appear to only be temporary.

The contact owns a 2017 Buick Enclave. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the accelerator pedal was depressed; however, the vehicle failed to accelerate as intended. The mounting bracket welded to the front exhaust pipe (near the flex section) broke off due to weak factory welds. As a result tearing a hole in my exhaust pipe and potentially leading to exhaust fumes leaking into the cabin of the vehicle. In my opinion this defect should be addressed as a safety issue if not repaired.

The driver side headlight was working and then it wasn't. A very costly expense to replace.
